Fete

Fete overcomes some serious competition here, but probably had this one in the bag when they landed the mighty Mos Def last year (arguably one of the all-time great rap shows in RI). Fete's stellar lighting and sound system backs up its claim to be "New England's premier boutique live music venue." Their calendar is stacked with local and national rap artists, including Symmetry (4/14), Tableek and DirtyDurdie (4/19), Chubb Rock (!!!) performing at the DJ Rukiz Birthday Bash (with music by DJ Craig G and hosted by the Awesome 2) on 4.20, and Talib Kweli rolling in on May 18.
