URBAN FARM FERMENTORY
Not for long! The upstart project of Portland renaissance man Eli Cayer gathered a swath of progressive sustainable practices under one Bayside roof, and the fruits of his labors are budding everywhere. Mushrooms cultivated by Dan Agro started appearing in farmers' mar-kets, hard cider began pouring in bars, and kombucha cropped up in local shops. The UFF offers permaculture and home-cultivation workshops by the bundle, and with this many inroads and opportunities, is fast becoming the face of Portland's participatory eco-movement. Witness this grapevine for yourself; it'll soon be a jungle.
