Practically everyone's looking for a strategy to quit smoking that doesn't involve relinquishing their romance with sweet, sweet nicotine. Some people puff e-cigs. Some people suck on gross little snus pouches. And some people travel to TW Food in Cambridge for the "Scotch & Cigars" tobacco ice cream at this fancy French-influenced eatery. The sheer smokeless yumminess triggers a splendid placebo effect, until someone explains that there's no literal nicotine in the ice cream. You can't get drunk off the scotch-flavored syrup it's served with, either. But its lack of psychoactive ingredients is no reason to knock this imaginative, reasonably priced, high-class dessert.
