MILLION YEAR PICNIC

Comics store
Crammed into the tiny subterranean confines of MILLION YEAR PICNIC are the city's finest specimens of sequential art. Whether you crave the latest issue of Deadpool, or a collection of classic Vampirella or Kabuki trades, or a Walking Dead T-shirt, these guys are your hook-up. In January, co-owner Jerry Weist (who founded the store in 1974) passed away; but his legacy remains: the staff knows their stuff. (And should you be too shy to pick their brains directly, eavesdrop a bit — you'll pick up some boffo recommendations that way.) Venerable comix institution that it is, MYP draws its own MVPs, netting in-store appearances from such heavyweights as Chris Onstad, Keith Knight, and Charles Burns.
