Let's be clear, when it comes to Korean takeout, we care only about three dishes: yukgaejang, bibimbap, and pork bulgogi. At their best, these are three fiery foods, and we basically want them the way the late-lamented Korea Garden on Pearl Street in Central Square used to make them: three-alarm yukgaejang beef-and-scallion soup with a good complement of clear noodles; spicy pork bulgogi with a tangy hint of ginger, and the stir-it-up mash of beef bibimbap ("mixed meal"), topped with a fried egg with a good runny yolk. After Korea Garden closed, we moved on to Min Sok, oiriginally near the Paradise Rock Club and then, after an interminable wait, a reopening in Brookline Village. When Min Sok closed last year, they guided us to their siblings at MANNA SUSHI, right next to the Regent Theatre, where our idea of "authentic" lives on.
