There's a wicked lot of sushi in Beantown, and more of it now in the high-end, innovative style that came to New York with the Japanese business bubble of the 1990s. Tokyo-trained chef Ting San was there, too, but soon came to Boston and after a couple of modest little spots, found the backing to do the first, and still greatest, Nobu-level sushi/sashimi parlor ever seen in these parts: OISHII. Japanese customers may weep at the seasonal sight of genuine matsutake mushrooms; fusion freaks will find no more creative maki rolled; and never mind "to die for," the quality of bluefin-tuna belly served may even justify driving the whole species to extinction.
