After getting hammered by a recession that found many giving up their skinny cinnamon dolce lattes in favor of brewing their java at home, STARBUCKS unveiled a redesigned logo that conveniently excises the ubiquitous coffee shop's name, the better to bring back brand-wary patrons. It seems to be working. Turning away from local favorite (and last year's winner) Dunkin' Donuts, Phoenix readers gravitated back to Starbucks. Whether lured by the conceptually-ridiculous-but-delicious Cake Pops or the promise of free Wi-Fi, Bostonians have begun going out for their cups o' joe again, be they short, tall, grande, or venti.
