GROVE HALL CONVENIENCE
If you ask for a chicken patty downtown, you'll probably get a frozen breaded Frisbee on a Sysco bun. But if you ask for one in the way back of GROVE HALL CONVENIENCE, you'll get what's technically an empanada – a sun-kissed marriage of celestial, not-too-flaky crust and seasoned fillings made from every last part of the bird. These are the best around, in both taste and texture, which is why they're generally gone before noon (they'll make more from scratch, but you have to wait). Don't stop there though; equally delicious is their fried-chicken-cutlet sandwich, stuffed with fresh produce and served on a plate that coulda come straight off your mom's credenza.
