BOSTON UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL
You don't need to go to Cannes or Sundance to see great flicks. We have our own film festival to be proud of here in Boston. Founded in 1998, the BOSTON UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL, a refreshing event that acknowledges the beauty of underground cinema, is certainly the only film fest that awards vibrating statuettes of demon bunnies giving the finger — what better way to thank those who wow us. At this weeklong bonanza of fringe features and out-there shorts, held at the Kendall Square Cinema, films with titles like Hobo With a Shotgun actually have a chance for recognition and appreciation.
