All writers — from unpublished newcomers to experienced authors — are part of the gang at GRUB STREET. The nonprofit creative-writing center's fourth-floor space on Boylston Street is home to workshops, classes, manuscript consultations, readings, parties, and other events. They range from beginner six-week courses like "Creative Nonfiction I" and "Writing for Kids" to advanced and master workshops like "Blueprint your Book," "Ask the Agent," and "Master Novel in Progress." Their super-accomplished staff also runs "The Memoir Project" for seniors and a "Young Adult Writer Program" for teens, plus an annual conference, and an array of publications.
