There’s a particular kind of magic that evolves between you and your friends when you’re young and wide-eyed in a nowhere  town, and when you feel it, you try to capture it and hold on to it forever. On their first full-length, appropriately titled Last,  Saintseneca succeeds. Last, which is out on the formerly Allston-based Mama Bird Recording Company, is a folk record with a punk heart. From  the barely contained energy of their folk harmonies and handclaps that permeate the record to melancholy musings about home and friendship to the  triumphant single “Acid Rain” (which begs, “Acid rain/Help me stay the same,” and culminates with the declaration, “I feel connected to something  strange and strong”), it’s impossible not to fall in love with the Columbus four-piece. Saintseneca are stopping by Gallery 263 in Cambridge on July  15, as part of their third tour of 2012. Come for Zac Little’s moustache, stay for the magic.
