Perhaps it’s a bit self-serving to proclaim Bedroom Eyes as the best band out of New Hampshire when half of them already moved to Allston. On the other hand, New York does the same thing to us all the time, so tough shit, Granite State! Maybe Bedroom Eyes would still all live in you if you raised taxes enough to have an infrastructure. Despite their amorous moniker, Bedroom Eyes hammer home the ’90s alt resurgence with gargantuan riffs that shudder and quake while decimating whatever’s left of your eardrums. Possibly because shoegaze bands are becoming dime-a-dozen, “Champagne Girl” has Bedroom Eyes exploring nebulous new demon-dimensions of delirious post-rock.

“We know that it is a stupid name for a label, and no, we’re not a bunch of racists waiting for the South to rise again,” apologize the honchos at JWB. Considering the slew of bratty punk eruptions they’ve offered up recently — and with a killer new long-player from Like Bats on deck — doesn’t this seem like the perfect time to seriously consider rebranding?
