WHY THEM? Las Vegas lo-fi electronic duo Kid Meets Cougar might be tossing the world a sly wink with their name. While initially sounding like a tragedy at the local zoo, it could jokingly relate to the real-life couple's ages — at 29, Courtney Carroll is six years Brett Bolton's senior. Regardless, the animal magnetism between the two is yielding some fascinating songwriting chemistry. With the loving aid of LogicPro, Kid Meets Cougar are the furthest thing from the flashing-light glitter of the Vegas Strip, and their DIY aesthetic and irresistibly adorable electronic-fed indie pop has the two set as indie rock's next buzz couple.
