WHY THEM? If their recorded output provides a one-way mirror into their souls, then life on the range must really suck for this cowpunk quartet. Songs about killing janitors and with titles like “My Girl Is Going To Punch Your Girl Out Tonight” offer context clues as to Looker’s M.O.: it’s the kind of angry, punishing, and Ramones-fast music you can start a classic barroom brawl to.

BONUS BIT! Frontman Bob Lefevre sounds the way he looks: like a big scary dude with a beard. On his own MySpace page, he notes that “I look good in really short cutoffs. My favorite flavor is red. I’ve got a hot wife and a crazy kid from planet kickass.”
