WHY THEM? Someone hasn’t forgotten that you can royally fuck with melody, hooks, and any semblance of a vocal narrative and still have a buttload of incredible punk-funk jams on your hands. These guys tune up the Erase Errata skronk attack with an extra bite and precision, led by sinister, dissonant guitars bouncing off counterpoint growling bass. All the while, Teal Gardner conjures a Bride of Captain Beefheart persona to toss out refrains like, “A suit made of shark teeth and it’s making a tooth suit.”
